How is document searching performed?
When a new document is added to the explorer it's automatically indexed.
Overview
All documents that are added to the document explorer are automatically indexed by Apache Lucene. Once a document is indexed the normal advanced text searching can be done.
Supported file formats
- MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Visio, and MS-PowerPoint using Apache POI.
- OpenOffice XML file formats
- HTML files
- PDF files
- Text files.
- Zip/Tar files containing Text files.
- XML files
- RTF files
